Non Linear Thinking in Business

Maximilian Rupp

Maximilian Rupp @maximilianrupp

Founder of HACOY. Painter. Writes about non linear thinking and conscious living.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how my approach to business has evolved. The way I run HACOY is vastly different from when I started. It’s not just about the daily tasks or the larger vision, but also about the mindset that guides me through it all. Non linear thinking has become integral to this process. It's about seeing patterns where others see chaos. When I paint, for instance, I often find myself experimenting with abstract forms instead of sticking to a strict plan. This non linearity is more than just a creative indulgence; it influences how I tackle problems and opportunities in my work. Take inventory management, for example. Instead of following a linear process where I check stock levels once a month, I’ve trained small local AI agents to monitor this continuously. These agents use algorithms that can predict demand by analyzing various data points, from social media trends to seasonal changes. This non linear approach ensures we always have the right amount of inventory without overstocking or understocking. It’s not just about efficiency; it's also about creativity and adaptation. Non linear thinking allows me to see new possibilities in unexpected places, whether it’s a unique design for our next collection or a novel way to engage with customers. By embracing this mindset, HACOY has become more than just an ethical fashion brand, it’s a living entity that adapts and grows.
