Discipline in Caps

Maximilian Rupp

Maximilian Rupp @maximilianrupp

Founder of HACOY. Painter. Writes about non linear thinking and conscious living.

I write HACOY in all capital letters because it’s a way to remind myself and others about the importance of clarity and precision. In a world filled with subtleties and nuances, something as simple as an all caps brand name can cut through the noise. It's a small act of discipline that I believe is essential for any endeavor requiring focus and commitment.

I've always been drawn to the idea of non linear thinking and conscious living, which often means breaking away from conventional paths. Writing HACOY in all caps feels like a nod to this philosophy: it’s an intentional choice, a decision not to blend into the background. It's also a way for me to keep my own commitment sharp; every time I write or type HACOY, it's a small moment of discipline.

Recently, I started building small local AI agents that handle some of the more routine tasks at HACOY. These agents help manage inventory and customer inquiries, tasks that, while important, can be repetitive. By offloading these responsibilities, I have more time to focus on what truly matters: creating meaningful pieces in Italy and Lithuania that reflect our values. Writing HACOY in all caps is just another way of keeping those values front and center.

In the end, it's about staying true to oneself and one’s vision. The discipline required to maintain such a small detail as writing the brand name in all capitals might seem trivial, but it reinforces a deeper commitment to doing things with intention and care.
